Remy Ma Arrested for Punching a Fellow Co -Star in the Face

Remy ma is in legal trouble yet again.
The New York love and hip hop star turned herself in, was detained and charged with assault.

The NYPD confirmed to the USA today that Remy was released on a $1500 bail.

Remy whose real names are Reminisce is accused of punching Britney Taylor on the face during a benefit concert last month. Police say that as a result of the punch Taylor suffered from a bruised right eye.

Sanford Rubenstein who is Taylor’s lawyer said that the arrest of Remy showed how severe the matter was and that it was happening in real life and not on reality TV.

Rubenstein also told the associated press that the victim Taylor had full confidence in the justice system and that she would continue to collaborate with the authorities.

Remy will be going back to court on May 24.

Josh Hanshaft who is the judge handling the case told the rapper to stay away from Taylor while the case proceeds.

Dawn Florio, Remy’s lawyer, denied those accusations and vowed to fight the charges. Florio said that Taylor was a liar and that Remy had not even touched her.

Florio also said that even though Remy was at the benefit concert, she was at home with her husband at the time when the incident occurred. This is not Remy’s first time to get in trouble with the law.

She previously had been detained for six years for shooting Makeda Barnes -Joseph.
